Riddarenn was escorting as a guard a hilldwarven-tradergroup on its way home from Haven, when they were ambushed by a small group of goblins. The attacker were in a bad shape, so the dwarves had no problem defending their goods. Seeing their defeat, some of the goblins fled into the surrounding forest. Riddarenn pursued and, after some time, stumbled upon the encampment of the goblins. Hot blood pulsed through his body and he was looking for any of those wretches to give them a kiss with his battlehammer!
His eyes caught a movement to the right of him. He turned and rushed towards the creature, raised his hammer and...
stopped in midair. Before him, cradled to the ground was a goblin. It seems to be a female and it (she ?) was holding a little goblinchild. “Be done with it! The less there are, the better, they say!” - These thoughts came to his mind, but still, the hammer would not come down!
“NO! I cannot do this!” he shouted, then continued more softly: “It's life... They're both in a bad shape, the child even showing signs of disease. They just wanted to survive... needed something to feed their families... Leaven them would probably mean their deaths.” Riddarenn put his hammer aside. “Oh Reorx' beard! I should help these two! But how? I'm not learned in the arts of healing....”. The little goblinchild took one finger of the dwarf, innocent eyes meeting warrior-eyes.
“ Reorx' beard again! Why came that burden of a decision on me? Father of all dwarves: Give me some support... anything...”. His head dropped in despair.
Suddenly a warm sensation and a bluish light came to Riddarenns finger, which was still being held by the goblinchild. It flowed from his hand “into” the little creature. Slowly, the looks of the child got more healthy... “Reorx!” Riddarenn whispered.
With this incident, Reddarenn knew in his heart, that Reorx has returned to his people. He dedicated his life to the service of Reorx and together with this, revived the little temple of Reorx in his settlement.
But he was restless! Too many things were unclear to him. And he had to spread the word to his people. Thus he ventured into the world to tell, to grow in knowledge and get a better understanding on matters.
