For those Veteran players of DLCO, they are fully aware of the server, and the events involved. For those new players, and those players not familiar with Dragonlance game setting, here is the information you may find useful.

In the Year 351 A.C., the heros of the lance that you may know from the novels did meet in Solace, and set forth on their adventure. But things went amiss for them. Some met their end in Xak Tsaroth, others fled into hiding, too wounded to be of any use. This is where the timeline veers to our alternate reality.

The year is 357 A.C.; and things have not been well. Many suffer under the iron boots of the Dragon Armies. Others have fled to the towns of the goodly races seeking refuge. Shelters have been filled to capacity, and the tenders of the shelters are hard pressed to see to all that need aid.

The Disks of Mishikal have been found by a small group of adventurers(players). The divine magics of Healing have been returned. The gods presence is also felt once more by the faithful, some more prominent than others however.
Rumors whisper of a feeling of peace and tranquility inside the blackened swamp that is Xak Tsaroth, but not many can confirm this, for most have never returned. Those that have made their way back, can not speak of what they have seen, for just the mere thought of it sends waves of fear crashing over them.

The Dragon Armies have taken a strong hold upon the land. Their forces occupy much of the lands, and spread their terror in ways never before seen. Ancient tales speak of a man, that is hunted by the Queen for purposes known to only her, and her clergy.(Berem, the Everman) Has he been found? One thing is for certain, the Dark Queens presence is felt upon the land in full.

The Knights of Solamnia, still falter, and search for themselves. The Grandmaster, Lord Tristan; has met an untimely end, and they scramble to solidify themselves. They do what they can for the people, but find themselves beleagured the same as all others. Their numbers diminish with each passing day, slowly fading to time and memory.

The meeting of the Goodly races at Whitestone was realized. Yet no alliance was reached, and the army of whitestone that many prayed would rise up and battle the encroaching Darkness was torn assunder before it began. Old animosities were resolved, yet other animosities renewed have seen only the gap, that prevents unity, widen.

Ancient relics were discovered. Relics that could fight the Evil Dragons that scour the land, but they are few. Rumors are abound of a man that can forge these Dragonlances, yet is the relic hammer needed still missing? Has it been found? Is it being secretly used to craft these lances? None truly can say, and those that have the knowledge in fact, keep it a secret.

Bards sing in hushed tones of a tale of an abandoned tower, and a small group of adventurers that wandered in to it. Tales spin of a machine on the highest levels of unusual origins, and a portal that was accidentally opened. The tales then speak in whispers, that the Dark Queen herself walks the land in disguise, seeking unholy heroes to do her bidding, and finally make the world hers.
Tales are spun of heroes that seek retribution, and absolution for the people of the land, continually putting themselves in danger to fight the darkness; and tales speak of evil. Evil that wanders the land spreading their decay, and misery with reckless abandon.

Tales spread far and wide of the elves of the Qualinesti forest. How they are under siege, and fight a war for their very survival, forced to flee their ancient forest homes just to endure as a people.

The dwarves still toil at the forge in their mountain home of Thorbarrdin. The gates are sealed, and none outside may enter. Steel mining for weapons and armor, and gems are their concern.

The forest of Silvanesti, still suffers the horrid nightmare of King Lorac. Shadows spawned from his mind, roam and devour the unsuspecting, and ill prepared traveler that believes himself great.

The northeast area of Palanthus has been closed off to all adventuers. The wizards of the moons have warded the cursed tower, and the evil minions of the enchanted grove their have grown in thirst for the living and power. All but the most foolish avoid the place known to rip the hearts out of the most hearty men.
The tower of the Grey master, the evil wizards dedicated to the Dark queen, was obliterated by the Orders of High Sorcery, in a final, and decisive battle, and those too survive, fled to the winds, to hide, for fear of utter destruction.

The High Clerist tower, stills stands as the last bastion of strength and protection for Solamnia. Manned by the most experianced of Knights, ready to fight and die as one if needed to save and protect the center of worship, and ideals they have so long held to.

The gods of Light, twilight, and darkness have all put forth their calls to men and women to champion their cause, and bring their beliefs and plans to the world. Do you adventurer; have what it takes? Do you have what is needed to be the savior and champion of the people? Or will you be the spreading darkness, wandering the land, forcing those weak fools to bend knee before you?

I have left many things vague in reference, for it is the characters just starting out to find out what is truth, and merely rumor. The characters and players that have been here for some time, and have been involved in the adventures that have brought the world to where it is, know all, and some may share their knowledge with you.
