PostSubject: Changes to The DA?   Sat Mar 14, 2009 3:50 pm

Ok so now the timeline has been moved on what has happened to the DA did they win ,did the whitestone council finally get its act together and drive us back.

I know we cant do much till dm's decide on the outcome but thought i'd start a suggestion/debate thread to see what we would like to happen..

Personally i would like to introduce The KoT if were were defeated maybe slowly at first but more steadily as the timeline progresses

Now if we won well i think we could lie back on a beach in our chainmail swimmers and get a good tan while drinking martinis Very Happy Very Happy

what do you guys think???

Cheers Kyre

Kyre, Read the Plot Thread. Smile It has a summary of what's going on.

No, no one won. The War is still on. The DA is still DA at this time.

ROFL and did I mention.. Takhisis is pissed!

Anyhow if people are thinking KoT, wanna take that up with Takhisis (sol) and the other DA people. The timeline in the plot section is what we've come up with with a base and foundation to work outwards from

yep. No side won. but the armies on both sides were being depleted by constant warfare. Supplies, weapons and manpower, so forth......

The war is still active, but there is a lull. Kind of like North and South Korea of today. They are still at war, but there is no fighting. They are watching each other and waiting.

To me this is exactly the same as before so we do the same things all over again..
A chance to really shake things up and do something different has been lost

I wouldnt say lost. I would say different, with new chances to explore various avenues of adventure, and outcomes.

Look at our world. The cold war lasted for 30 years, and in that time many things happened to both sides that changed history. It is all up to the players to decide what happens.

Change your own destiny. Thats why we left it to all the players.

Yeah, if you choose to go that route. Or you could take it another way completly.

3 words: Fortify, fortify, fortify. Why would we want things to remain the same as the DA? We all buckle down, build up our armies and defenses and put a plan into action to attack strategic targets and continue to crush the KoS. We hold the majority of the major areas so all we need to do is continue working hard on capturing the last few cities we need to launch our attack on the three fortress cities.

Umm Xenos I don't know that the DA still holds the majority of major areas. Territotires have been changed around. Again no one knows for sure who holds what. Well except Solstice and she's not telling Smile
Nothing is truly as it was before. Things are similar of course but not the same.
A character could certainly through RP and story advancement create the knights of taki. Why not? The DA certainly should have learned the lesson about evil devouring itself by now. As well whose to say the legion of steel can't be created for an alternative to being a knight of Solamnia. All options are open at this point.
As said many many times recently, it's all up to the players. IE, us. There are very very few servers out there that allow players to determine much of the storylines and plots. I know of only one really other then DLCO, and DLCO takes it to a whole nother level.
In the previous incarnation of DLCO near the end, there were only a few DM's left. Albeit all were dedicated they too have RL to deal with so there was alot of what I like to refer to as alone time..... on the server. That will not be the case when the server comes back. There have been QM's added who can and will be able fill in and run adventures, help with RP and all manner of things. We just all need to rid ourselves of the what was thinking and get onto the what can be thinking.
I for one am truly excited to start interacting with all you bums....err great people again IG.

I meant that in general Kel. There are several major areas that we still control and by all rights should control since they haven't been contested in a very long time: Solace, Haven, North Keep, ummm...that territory the blue dragonarmy holds. Proof right there, it's been so long since it's been mentioned I can't even remember it! >.<
