A ship crewed by the dead attacked another on the open seas. While there may have been survivors, one fact is known. A black opal bearing the symbol of Morgion was found among the remains that washed up on shore.

Why are the undead carrying objects of the lord of decay? Have Chemosh and Morgion formed an unholy alliance? What does this mean for Ansalon?

As the tale of Morgion's cultists spreads, whispers began to curl in the dark corners of the world, cast with fear.

"Did you know," they say, "that if you kiss a servant of Morgion.. his disease will spread through them and into your body. No one is safe from it."

"That's nonsense, I hear the clerics of Mishakal are immune."

"I hear that no one is immune, and you don't even know until it's too late."

"You're just trying to stop me from kissing the barwench, because then you think you'd have a chance with her."

"That fiesty wench? She's all yours mate. Just, be careful. I hear they can devour souls now too."

Rumor begins to circulate, whispered in taverns. So far, three female Magi of the White Order have turned up dead, one in fact was brought to the temple of Mishakal by a man in tears.

The clerics were unable to revive the fallen, each having been killed so brutally there was no hope to reclaim them back to this life.

Whispers in every town can be heard of an unseen but speculated threat. Small boxes as gifts are being delivered through random people to a monk by the name of Chrys. The unfortunate carrier that opens it has found a different array of body parts on each occasion. During one instance that was able to be delivered successfully a red cloud circulated from the jar of eyeballs and began to afflict the people of the town save for two. The mist was thought to be that of Morgion. A man with light brown hair dressed in black with piercing glowing red eyes has been known to frequent Zaradene and it was recently learned swiped the more recent package from it's carrier. Be ware of him. There was also a black gem, an opal, that was taken along with the gift. Unsure of what it does but caution is the best course.

There has also been word of a meeting in the Temple of Gilean. Few were chosen as possibilities to carry this most powerful item. Power of the God's you say? I will keep it safe for you. The item is one of several that are to be gathered and we shall see what the force of that power does to mere men. Will you keep the power safe and only in the hands of the God's or will you use it for your own gain should you be allowed to hold this magical thing?
