Due to popular demand, several messages I have recieved and support from players, staff and good friends I will make the attempt to host the server and continue making modificatins and so on as required until the new server mod is developed and released. And as I did once before I will attempt to be as available either in game or on MSN for the needs of the players/staff as needed and since I pretty much have my real life issues sorted out I am prepared to do my best

That being said, provided the server runs well enough on this system and net, everyone feel free to continue where they left off and just in general do what many of us have forgotten ... just have fun

Why thank you Alright the server IP address is 192.168.0.103:5121 located in the Roleplay section. You may need to direct connect to find it then use history or favorites afterwards, as the multiple networks I use change I'll list the new addresses as needed. There may be a chance that either method just will not find the server, I am still in the process of getting set up here so if anyone has a problem please inform me via PM or Email/MSN. Thank you

"Server is not responding"

Thats the same thing it was saying to me when I tried logging in, but used a direct connect and it logged me in, seems that no one else can though so I am in process of reworking the multiple networks we have running here and see what I can do, I apologise for the inconvience and will hav server back up asap.

I also got the "time-out" error.


You probably have these bases covered already but I'm just going to post anyway in case:


Are you using DHCP in your router? Did you set your server ip as a static ip address? Or better yet, give all your computers on the network static ips addresses and shut DHCP off.

Is your router set to allow UDP traffic in? With all applicable ports forwarded to the server ip?

Did you edit your nwn.ini to ensure that the computer you play on and the server are pulling from seprerate sources?

Firewalls. Obvious but sometimes overlooked. If not already done, set gamespy and nwn to allow.

Have you tried pinging yourself and various websites to make sure you have no packet loss?

Upon closer examination of your post, Solstice, it appears you have given us the internal IP address to log in, unless we are all lan, which obviously we're not, we would need the external IP address. Let's hope it was this small oversight instead of port forwarding issues.

I very much appreciate the input Thank you, but the networking here is in the hands of my roomate who is somwhat difficult to deal with, so my solution is to aquire a seperate router and internet connection, soon as I have that done it should be good to go. That shouldnt be too long in the waiting, again I sincerly apologise to everyone who has been waiting on all of us handling things and hope to get the server back to you asap

Are there any updates? (No pressure to answer, just curious.)

Well so far as anyone can see I am not able to get the mod up and running due to an extremely difficult roomate who wont allow me to tamper with the network and cable company wont install a seperate line on the property (some kind of mumbo jumbo) and only other who can run the mod is my brother and his girl, so what we need to know is who really wants the mod up and running? They are more than willing to host the mod while I continue to do my work on it and so on but their position is that when they do the mod is frequently empty and no more than one or two players at a time are in game. They dont see the point in spending money on electricty/cable etc for only a couple of players, so we need to hear from the players and other staff on just exactly how much do we want DLCO back or are we going to wait for the new mod being created by the staff? Any input and thoughts will be welcome.

We hosted it for a total of 24 hrs and 2 ppl logged in. not that it isnt important to keep pc's lives going but it wasnt worth us getting more in debt to keep the puter on for only 2 ppl to log in for a couple hours. if someone wants to take a poll and ppl reply that they want it back up, i personally will see that it is put back up promptly. until we get some sort of response from the players saying they do in fact want to play on the old DLCO just as it was for now then it will remain down. no offense meant to anyone, but the economy is rough and i have to cut corners anywhere i can. hope everyone understands that this is not being done out of spite for anyone. let me or sith know something.
