I called this meeting because an urgent matter is to be discussed.

Lady Helene Ith’ril’dror, the Headmistress of the School of Magic, visited me on behalf of the Tower of Wayreth. She came with an offer on a creation of an alliance, which could be good for both sides, the Qualinestination and the tower.

As you know, even if the Dragonarmie could be driven from our homeland, danger still lingers near! Many parts of Abanasinia are still occupied by the forces of the Dark Queen.

This is a proposal for a mutual assistance in times of need.

The tower seeks it, because Wayreth and their school of magic are very close to the lands of the Qualinesti. And, as you all know, many white robe mages are elves.

These are the outlines to the terms:
They ask, if a portal with a connection to the tower may be created within Qualinost. By this, quick aid in both directions could be established. A magical device would be left, which, if activated, sends a magical message to the others for the need of help.

Furthermore it must be assured, that those of the Tower would not be attacked or asked to leave Qualinost, as long as they do not cause any disturbances. On the other hand, Qualinesti are allowed to walk the grounds of the school without being troubled by magi of the tower. In my opinion, this would be an additional way to further the exchange of news and knowledge, which would definitely benefit the Qualinesti!

But moreover we have to consider this: The alliance would also mean that we Qualinesti might have to work together with black robes. There is no way to exclude them, because it is the way and the inner pattern of the tower. This was made clear!
But then, it is utter time to get rid of our separation from the rest of Ansalon! Our walling-off nearly brought us the destruction through the Dragonarmie,

In my opinion, it is time to rethink some of our old feelings towards others. We have to communicate and find allies! And this alliance could be one step to make our homeland safer again and take up relationships long forgotten.

Maglor Pallanén, current appointed regent of the Qualinesti

Maglor Pallanen, we the Senate have discussed this proposal and have agreed to the terms with one condition. The Order of the Black Robes , if aiding Qualinesti when called upon, must agree to a spell binding agreement ( No casting spells or otherwise using magic unless absolutely required, excluding an attack/defense) and we agree to allow a portal to be constructed within the Branch of Magic.

A messenger will be send to call for another meeting. I will not tell who and when to keep the numbers of the involded as small as possible at the time being.
