DLCO is based on the original Dragonlance Chronicles, but due to the possibillity for players to influence the settings, DLCO runs in an alternate timeline and so some settings differ from the original Dragonlance Chronicles.

The Qualinesti:

Arround the year 350 A.C. the Dragonarmies were spreading their area of influnce, conquering more and more of Abanasinia and starting to set the Qualinesti forest under siege. Their numbers were overwhelming and this elven nation stood on the brink of annihlation. Thus the Speaker of the Sun decided to look for places outside of their ancient forest, where the Qalinesti-Elves could exile to, in the case of an invasion

Scouts were send west over the Straits of Algoni towards Southern Ergoth to find a place for a potential evacuation. One day, the Speaker himself boarded a ship in Porliost to personaly inspect a promising region. From there, his whereabouts are lost - the Speaker is missed! It is not known, if he is dead.

Besides the role of Thalas-Enthia, the senate of the Qualinesti, the governing was additionally placed into the hands of a regis (female title) or regent (male title).
First regis was Lady Vaerana Moonshadow. She was a participant of the Whitestone-council (352 A.C.). Though the the various races and nations of Ansalon have not allied at Whitestone, still some loose alliances were established. With the help if these, the Qualinesti elves were able to free their borderlands of the Dragonarmy-threat, thus no evacuation was made for the time being

Some time after this liberation, Lady Vaerana left for Southern Ergoth leading elves against renegade Dragonarmy-forces and ogres.

She promoted Maglor Pallanén to be the regent. Prior to this promotion, Maglor was an inofficial participant at Witestone. And his renown activities in defending the borderlands gained him a seat in the Thalas-Enthia. So the senate followed the promotion of Lady Vaerana and approved Maglor Pallanén to be the current regent.


The Silvanesti:

The forest nation of the Silvanesti has turned into a strange forbidden area with nightmarish inhabitants. The place seems to be enchanted by evil forces. No Silvanesti elf is known to live within the main forest. There are only few settlements on the woodland border. But these lack the greatness and beauty for which the Silvanesti nation was known for. The northern borders are patrolled by the Green Dragonarmy.
Many Silvanesti elves live in Silvamori on Southern Ergoth, but also quiet a few wander the face of Ansalon.


Known Elven Governors of the other elvennations were Lord Lucien (Kagonesti) and Lord Amras (Silvanesti). The whereabouts of these two are currently unknown.
